BG at Metro 01

Butch Graham(W) vs Skip Malibu
Jimmy Hayes vs Terry Mercen(W)
Kid Leopard(W) vs Thom Katt
Bryan Walsh(W) vs Psycho Capone
Beastie Boys (Bruiser Bronson & Randy Roberts)
vs Matt Carlton & Scott Rogers(W)
Tim Anderson(W) vs Brian Baxter

Doug Warren and Raw Deal
are referee for most of the matches.

• Runtime 1:40
• Live ring action in front of an audience at the Metro in Boston.
• Bob Wood interviews BG himself.

Butch Graham vs Skip Malibu - Both wear singlets.

Terry Mercen had a write-up in Sports Illustrated and wrestled in some Tennyson matches.

Psycho Capone's manager is Chris Duffy who has wrestled for WWE and in some Tennyson matches.

Beastie Boys vs Carlton/Rogers - All participants where swim trunks. Matt Carlton gets a nice amount of double teaming.

Time Anderson vs Brian Baxter - Both do their strip routines before their whipped cream match.

BG in Holland 01

Uli vs Bryan Walsh(W)
Uli(W) vs Otto
Kid Leopard(W) vs Uli
Bryan Walsh(W) vs Dieter
Dieter(W) vs Martin
Udo vs Bryan Walsh(W)
Udo(W) vs Martin

• Runtime 1:40
• Mat action at a Holland gymnasium.
• All participants wear swim trunks.

Yes, there is 2-3 seconds of frontal nudity as Uli changes to his trunks. But this isn't overt and shouldn't harm anyones sensability.

Nice action all around. Mostly shooter action with a few pro moves. All their huffing and puffing prove that it wasn't all fake.

BG in London and Blackpool 01

Kid Leopard(W) vs Paul McRay
Paul McRay(W) vs David Drury
David Drury(W) vs John Hudson
Alan Kilby(W) vs Jamaica George
Kid McCoy & Steve Valentine(W)
vs Skull Murphy & Dr. X

• Runtime: 2 hours
• The first three matches are private bouts while the last two are fan cams of British pro matches.

Kid Leopard vs Paul McRay - Both men start shirtless and jeaned. McRay is ripped and stripped down to a jockstrap.

Briefs and swim trunks are worn during the other two private matches.

The third turns into a nice 2-on-1 when Kid Leopard shows up. If you like to see a very lean man get stretched this match is for you. Hudson also gets some good body blows. Best hold of this match is when Kid Leopard has the guys legs tied up and then rubs his knee over the guys crotch several times.

A white singlet wearing 17 year old Kid McCoy takes a lot of baby face bashing during the tag bout. If you like David vs Goliath & Goliath matches this one's for you.

Britbouts 11

Andy Flyer(W) vs Steve Parker
Steve Ranger vs "Barry Boy" Donnelly(W)
Simon Forrester vs Dave Morris(W)
Johny Harvey(W) vs "Battleboy" Matt Thorne

• Runtime: 1:40
• Private submission matches.
Most on this tape where square cuts except Donnelly (swim trunks), Thorne (tights), and Harvey (tights)

Flyer is a great little wrestling stud who holds his own against much older Parker. Flyer sells great when Parker has enough of the kid putting him in submission holds. This match goes on for a good 30 minutes before Parker loses to a sleeper.

Twice Ranger gets a good crotch grab. (The first one isn't visible but Donnelly sells it well.) Ranger loses to a hard headlock.

Veteran Harvey gives Thorne a run for his money as he verbal taunts the younger man. Thorne looks especially good when on the recieving end of various bearhugs.

Canadian Musclehunk 04

Johnny Lightning(W) vs Beau Hopkins
Jimmy Dean(W) vs John St. James
Ed Harte(W) vs Steve Arnold
Paul Perris vs Jamie Cutler(W)
Vic Silver(W) vs Jeff Steel

• Runtime 1:40
• Gear - Everyone wears briefs except: Dean, St. James (swim trunks), Arnold (posing trunks), Perris (thong)

Hopkins loses to a sleeper.

St. James loses to a figure four.

Harte and Arnold are two big bodybuilders. Unfortunately their wrestling skill is pretty limited. Both use hammerlocks and surfboards.Arnold gets put into a nice reverse bearhug.

Both Perris and Cutler throw a lot of kicks during this match. It ends with Perris' arms locked in the ropes with his legs in a split position. (In real life, Perris can supposidly do the splits for 2 minutes before it becomes uncomfortable.)

Canadian Musclehunk Oil 03

Ed Harte vs Marco Denetti(W)

Jimmy Royce vs Beau Hopkins(W)
Johnny Lightning(W) vs Troy Lucas
Paul Perris(W) vs John St. James

• Runtime 1:40
• Gear - Everyone wears briefs except: Lightning, Perris (thong)

Hart goes against another bodybuilder Denetti (who's a major beefy bear). Denetti practically squeezes the bottle dry when he's oiling up. Hart gets a big arm pull and double hammerlock while Denetti gets a body scissors with an arm across his throat. Final fall has Hart in a kneeling full nelson, another double hammerlock and finally an over-the-knee backbreaker.

Lucas gets some good moves put on him including a kneeling surfboard and a long held sleeper.

Japanese Teen Wrestling 01

I can't find the catalog listing for this.
And since the dialog is entirely in Japanese I can't figure out the match rundown.

• Runtime: 2 hrs.

These televised match clips start out with an interesting maneuver. One of the young wrestlers pulls down his own trunks and threatens to sit on his opponent's face. (Japanese television themself puts the moving dot over the man's privates.) His opponent then unsuccessfully tries the same and pays the ultimate humiliation. With underwear still down, he's suspended in the air until he submits. Some of these matches are played more for laughs than anything else. There's only 1-2 that are better than average. The last few clips are from regular adult pro matches.

The main people who would probably like this tape are those that like gimmick type of matches. For instance, during one competition a young man has a noose around his neck and is chocked out. Another has a guy being hit with chairs and sticks. Sounds like ECW Jr. Happy Hour to me.

Live at Phantom 02

Raw Deal vs Jason Ward

TNT Horrigan vs Rocky Rojo

Kid Leopard vs Dusty Ryder

Jason Knight vs Bryan Walsh

• Runtime: 1:00
• Zeus Studios asked BG to provide the entertainment at their annual leatherman event. Unlike Live at Metro, all of these matches took place on the mats.

Deal wears singlet-type underwear. Ward wears speeds which right off the bat prove ineffective to the heel's crotch grabs.

Horrigan, Rojo, Walsh, and Ryder all wear swimming trunks. Knight wears tights. Leopard wears the skimpiest thong you'll probably ever see.

Ryder and Leopard's match is the best one on the tape I just wish it lasted longer. Leopard bends and maneuvers Ryder into several submission holds. One actually lets Leopard headbutt Ryder's crotch.

Walsh and Knight's match is more pro releated than the others. Both men have wrestled for professional organisations in the past.

After the matches, they do interviews with some of the wrestlers. Most interesting is the one with Walsh were you get a good view of his muscular frame. Give your freeze frame button a rest. (Oh, yeah. Deal and Horrigan also give you a view of their 'assets'.)

If you're thinking of doing a live wrestling event then watch this tape. This is how it's done.

This may have been the first tape with Wrestling Update starring Bob Wood. (BG's version of wrestling news.) Tape then has lots of previews at the end.

Mindru Suzuki vs Todd Medina
Yusuke Fuke vs Jason Delucia
Masakatsu Funaki vs Frank Shamrock
Bas Rutten vs Maurice Smith

• Runtime: 1:50
• Televised Japanese submission matches.

This whole tape has major, sweaty muscle in it. In fact, after one match you clearly see the puddle the wrestler leaves on the ring.

Metzer is ripped beyond description. You don't need a close-up to see how defined his back muscles are.

It's depressing that American television doesn't show these type of matches on a weekly basis

Jumpin Joe Savoli vs Eric Embry(W)

Bryan Walsh vs Larry Winters
Tom Brandi vs Bruiser Brodi
Rick Rude vs Lance Von Erich
Lex Luger(W) vs Mark Star

• Runtime: 2 hrs.
• Fan-cam and televised pro matches and clips.
Killer Kowalski is ref during some of the matches.

The true star of this tape is the teen Danny Boy Collins. His one match alone may make it interesting enough to get this tape.18 at the time, he already held at least one English championship belt. This is a nice long sweaty match which shows how much skill Collins had at an early age.

Winters is a bear that looks just as good taking the abuse as Walsh does.

The surprise ending match clips BG refered to in their catalog is the Japanese pro match Dynamite Kid vs British Bulldog followed by a masked wrestler vs Dynamite Kid.

Lugar makes short work of hunky Star, putting him in a torture rack in way less than a minute.

The low rating of this tape is because many of the clips seem to be just filler. And some don't even show who wins the match.

Professor Leopard's Lecture 01

• Runtime: 1:30
There are no matches on this tape.

This is a pro wrestling history lecture Kid Leopard has given to college students. There's a few surprises here and there. But probably the most surprising is that the talk never wanders onto BGEast itself.

If you've ever wondered what Kid Leopard was really like this is your chance.

Rings 02

Nagai vs Naruse
Todorov vs Gotchev
Yamamoto vs Nishi
Tourmanize vs Hann
Vrij vs Peeters
Nagai vs Gordeau
Nyman vs Satake
Renting vs Kova
Peeters vs Kops
Naruse vs Kakuta
Ula vs Yamamoto

• Runtime: 2 hrs.
• Televised Japanese submission matches.

The tank known as Vrij looks like he'd make easy pickings out of Peeters. But that's not the case. It's amazing how much spirit and fighting determination Peeters has. He still loses, but still, A for effort.

Peeters (now with Vrij in his corner) gives Kops , a young husky blonde, a mini-pile driver. The audience goes wild but Kops keeps the faith and later wins. This just proves that the match isn't over until you hear the cartlidge pop.

Ken Shamrock vs Sano(W)

• Runtime: 2 hrs.
• Televised Japanese submission match clips.

The second Koslowski match is short but a winner. (Before he wore trunks, here he wears a singlet.) The crowd knows exactly what's going on when his opponent maneuvers him into a full nelson. He gets suplexed into a loss.

The last match is an old Shamrock match when he still had long hair. He looks buff but not cut. This is a perfect example of how you can win the match if you let aggression take over. Shamrock throws one too many continual blows, gets German suplexed and then dragged to the mat in a match losing arm bar. By the end both guys are slugging the sweat off of each other.

BGEast's catalog also says Randy Poffo, Mike Sayder, Don Muraco, Steve Regal, Ed Wiskowski, and Spike Huber are on the tape. But I couldn't match them up with the footage.

• Runtime: 2 hrs.
• Super 8 film transfers of fan-cam pro match clips.
• No sound until about half way through. Then you get some music to keep your ears occupied.

This historic value alone makes this tape worth it. These could easily be the only copies of these matches in existence.

Parks was an award winning bodybuilder.

Steamboat has long hair and a moustache.

Match 7 is one of the better ones on the tape. A young sideburned young man gets lots and lots of blows to the back of the neck before being put in a sleeper. He does go out, instead he gets beaten up a lot more before losing.

Match 9 has Kerry taking some good blows to the head before getting put into a standing surfboard.

Kevin gets put into an over-the-knee backbreaker (Patera practically rips Kevin's trunks upward to get more leverage), and a bearhug before Patera lays in a long, hard full nelson to get the win. This is one match you really wish was on video.

The next match starts with Kevin standing in the corner looking like a Greek god. After that he's in a match wearing yellow trunks. After his win he's interviewed and gives the camera a good look at his chisled physique.

Match 17 has Kevin again getting put in full nelsons.
